How to add products to WhatsApp Business

Adding a new product

• Open WhatsApp Business and go to Settings, Business tools, Catalog
• Tap Add product or service
• Choose a photo from your gallery or take one on the spot
• Type the name customers would recognise
• Enter the price, and a currency if you sell in more than one
• Add a short description: size, material, ingredients, or what is included
• Add a link to the matching page on your website, if you have one
• Save the item

Editing an existing product

Open the catalogue, tap the item, then the edit icon. Update the price or photo and save — the change applies immediately to anyone who opens the catalogue afterwards.

Removing or hiding an item

If something is out of stock permanently, delete it rather than leaving it to confuse customers. If it is temporarily unavailable, you can hide it and bring it back later without rebuilding the entry from scratch.

Adding several items at once

There is no bulk upload inside the app itself, so for a large range, set aside one sitting to photograph and add everything rather than trickling it in over weeks — customers judge the catalogue by what they see today.

Grouping items into sections

Once you have several products, use catalogue sections to group them, for example by category or by price range. This is done from the main catalogue screen and makes browsing easier for anyone with more than a handful of items to look through.

Sending a product into a chat

While chatting to a customer, tap the attachment icon, choose Catalog, and select the item. It sends as a card with the photo, name and price already attached, which is quicker and clearer than typing it out again.
